Rick Ross Signs ATL rapper PILL to Maybach Music Group

Southern rapper Rick Ross shows no signs of slowing down the expansion of his Maybach Music Group, as he recently signed Atlanta-based rapper Pill to the roster.

Reports of Ross' latest acquisition landed online Tuesday (February 22).
It was announced via Twitter late last night that Pill was the latest signee to the imprint. The 2010 XXL Freshman was already signed to Warner/Asylum, which acquired Maybach Music Group over the weekend, but is now a part of Rick Ross's ever-expanding team that within the last few weeks also added former XXL Freshman alum Wale as well as Meek Mill, who graces the current Freshmen cover, set to drop next month. Maybach Music Group's official Twitter account simply posted "@PILL4180 @MEEKMILL @RICKYROZAY @WALE @CAROLCITYCARTEL," naming the new players on the roster. "[B]ig moves," Ross then tweeted at Pill early this morning. Pill's bio on his Twitter account now reads "Maybach Music/Warner Recording." (XXL Mag)

Prior to putting Pill on the MMG roster, Ross discussed the future of newly signed rappers Wale and Meek Mill.
"[Signing Wale and Meek Mill], it just solidifies we're one of the fastest-growing labels in hip-hop...I mean, it is what it is," Ross said in response to the bidding war for his Maybach Music Group. "Right now we're on fire. We making, and it's not just a temporary thing, but we're making the best music, man. And we make all ranges of music. I think the industry's just understanding that. So it's not just about Rick Ross and Maybach Music, it's our brand, it's our movement, it's the type of sound that we done brought to the game -- We getting paper, what else can I say?" (The Source)
Pill's announcement comes just days after Ross' Maybach Music Group inked a deal with Warner Bros

  2. To the poster who talked about opinion vs. fact, as if everybody agreed it was a threat, please consider this viewpoint. And about 10 more from different angles.

  3. Zune and iPod: Most people compare the Zune to the Touch, but after seeing how slim and surprisingly small and light it is, I consider it to be a rather unique hybrid that combines qualities of both the Touch and the Nano. It's very colorful and lovely OLED screen is slightly smaller than the touch screen, but the player itself feels quite a bit smaller and lighter. It weighs about 2/3 as much, and is noticeably smaller in width and height, while being just a hair thicker.
