Lupe Fiasco Discusses Obama 'Terrorist' Comment On 'The O'Reilly Factor'

Around two weeks ago, Lupe Fiasco made headlines following a CBS News Interview in which he called President Obama -- and the U.S. government -- the "biggest terrorist" in the world.

After the news spread, political pundit Bill O'Reilly commented on the Chicago rapper's statements, calling him "a pinhead", via his Fox News show "The O'Reilly Factor". But, he's since given Lupe a chance to explain himself, inviting the rapper on his show to discuss and further explain his comments.

What do you think of Lupe's comments?

Lupe Fiasco Calls President Obama "The Biggest Terrorist”

The Chicago rapper explains that terrorism is a chain effect and why he doesn't vote.

Lupe Fiasco doesn’t held back when it comes to sharing his opinions. He recently told CBS News' "What's Trending" that he considers President Obama “the biggest terrorist,” explaining that his actions have a trickledown effect and cause others to engage in acts of terrorism.

“To me, the biggest terrorist is Obama in the United States of America,” he said. “For me, I’m trying to fight the terrorism that’s actually causing the other forms of terrorism. The root cause of terrorism is the stuff that the U.S. government allows to happen, the foreign policies that we have in place in different countries that inspire people to become terrorists. And it’s easy for us, because it’s really just some oil that we can really get on our own.”

The Chicago, Illinois native explained that he keeps a distance from politics and doesn’t vote. “I don’t vote. I don’t get involved in politics. Because it’s meaningless, to be honest. First of all, I’m a real big believer if I’m going to vouch for someone, I’m going to stand behind everything they do,” he continued. “If I’m going to say I stand behind this person and write on a piece of paper that says I stand for this person, then I have to take responsibility for everything that he does. Because that’s just how I am as a human being. Politicians aren’t going to do that, because I don’t want you to bomb some village in the middle of nowhere.”

The “Show Goes On” rapper explained that his form of social responsibility is through helping others. “Charity and being socially responsible is a responsibility for everyone. We’re human beings, we’re tribal creatures in a group. That’s where we survive. That’s the nature of our kind of existence. So you definitely have to have a responsibility for other people that around you, to see them succeed and what have you, or just to see them do better. I think that’s beyond me being an artist.”

Lupe Fiasco Ft. John Legend - Never Forget You

On his 29th birthday, Lupe Fiasco gives a gift to fans by releasing “Never Forget You” featuring John Legend, a cut off his third album Lasers, arriving March 8. The rapper’s latest boasts a piano-kissed beat and nostalgic lyrics that recall the less complicated days, such as, “The first love kisses, the broke heart disses/ This is just like a first-class ticket/ Back, to the first written rap/ The crumbled up paper and the pen with no cap.”

Additionally, the Chi-town native will continue to give back by liberating a track via iTunes each week for those who pre-order Lasers, including “All Black Everything,” “Out of My Head” with Trey Songz, and “Coming Up.”
